General Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter “GTCS”) apply to any order placed on the website concerning collectible coins offered for sale.

By confirming a reservation, the buyer acknowledges having read these GTCS and accepts them without reservation.

2. Products and Authenticity

The coins offered for sale are historical collectible items.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all coins are authentic.

Each piece is subject to:

  • careful examination prior to being offered for sale,

  • a detailed description,

  • photographs intended to show its actual appearance and characteristics.

The photographs are taken with great care to represent each coin as faithfully as possible. Minor variations may nevertheless occur due to lighting conditions or screen displays. Image quality is continuously improved in the interest of transparency and accuracy.

3. Descriptions and Information

Descriptions are based on direct observation of the coins and on numismatic knowledge available at the time of writing.

As ancient coins naturally display irregularities (wear, off-centre strikes, flan defects, patina; non-exhaustive list), such features cannot be considered hidden defects but rather characteristics inherent to this type of object.

4. Nature of the Sale

Coins offered on the website are not subject to immediate purchase.

Any action by the user constitutes a reservation request, subject to verification of availability.

The sale is considered concluded only after confirmation of availability and issuance of an invoice.

5. Reservation and availability

After receipt of a reservation request :

  • the availability of the coins is manually verified,

  • if one or more coins are available, the customer receives an invoice including only the available coins,

  • any unavailable coins are communicated to the customer.

No payment obligation arises until the invoice has been issued.

6. Prices and payment

Prices are indicated in euros (€), inclusive of all taxes, unless stated otherwise.

Payment is made exclusively by bank transfer, based on the information provided on the issued invoice.

No payment should be made before receipt of the invoice.

7. Unavailable coins

In the event of total or partial unavailability of the reserved coins :

  • the customer is informed,

  • no amount is due for the unavailable coins,

  • no obligation to purchase exists in the absence of an invoice.

8. Conclusion of the sale

The sale is deemed concluded only after :

  1. confirmation of availability,

  2. issue of the invoice,

  3. receipt of payment.

9. Right of withdrawal and returns

In accordance with European law, the buyer in principle has a period of 14 days from receipt of the order to exercise the right of withdrawal.

However, given the specific nature of collectible coins, returns are accepted only for a valid reason, in particular :

  • serious doubt concerning authenticity,

  • a significant discrepancy between the description and the item received.

Any return must be subject to prior approval by the seller.

Coins must be returned in their original condition, without alteration or cleaning.

Unless otherwise agreed, return shipping costs are borne by the buyer.

10. Liability and disputes

The seller cannot be held liable for improper use, handling or storage of the coins after receipt.

In the event of an issue relating to an order, the buyer is invited to contact the seller as soon as possible in order to seek an amicable solution.

11. Applicable law

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by Belgian law.

In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought as a priority before any legal proceedings are initiated.
